Mr. Alex Mitrakas has a diverse practice that caters to the needs of his clients. Mr. Mitrakas’ practice mainly focuses in corporate matters at both the domestic and international level including: Corporate Structuring, Business Litigation, and International Arbitration. As a member of the firm’s trial group, Mr. Mitrakas’ practice also includes general litigation matters, contested family law matters, and serious personal injury and wrongful death matters.

Mr. Mitrakas has experience litigating complex civil matters in US Courts, representing large and midsized European corporations in arbitrations, establishing US distribution chains for foreign importers and manufacturing, putting together complex transactional matters, and resolving disputes through nontraditional legal means. Mr. Mitrakas’ corporate experience offers a unique perspective in family law matters involving significant and/or complicated asset distributions, corporate valuations, and other complex underlying corporate issues.

A native of Alexandria, Virginia, Mr. Mitrakas earned his BS in Law and Society from The American University in Washington, DC, studied at the Comparative Justice institute in London, earned his JD from the University of Detroit in Michigan, and is an active member of the Virginia State Bar.
